TIME FOR TWOS - EIJ406

Bring your two-year-old to the library for age appropriate stories, rhymes and songs. No siblings please.
Dates: Thursday, December 1
Time: 10:30 - 11 a.m.
Ages: 2 year olds with an adult, no sibling

MORE THAN MOTHER GOOSE – EIJ403

More than Mother Goose for children includes nursery rhymes, songs, finger plays, and stories. Parents participate with their child. Older siblings welcome. This program will be offered at two times. Please select the date that is most convenient.

Time: 10:30 – 11 a.m.
Ages: Birth through 3 years old with an adult, siblings welcome

BABY TIME - EIJ404

Kathy Roeder presents this parent and child program that includes fun age appropriate activities designed to stimulate and encourage your child's physical and mental growth.

Ages: Pre-walkers, 3 months and up with an adult, no siblings

Kathy Roeder presents this parent and child program that includes fun age appropriate activities designed to stimulate and encourage your child's physical and mental growth.

Ages: Walkers through 23 months old with an adult, no siblings

Shake those sillies out!  Two and three-year-olds join Kathy Roeder for circle time fun.

CHESS LESSONS – EIJ414

If you’ve wanted to learn how to play chess, here’s your chance. Teen volunteers will guide students as they play with each other to learn the basics of the game.

AUTHOR VISIT: ADAM GIDWITZ - EIY765

Adam Gidwitz, author of the best-selling Grimm books, will visit the East Islip Public Library.  He will talk about his writing process and answer audience questions.  Books will be available for purchase and signing.  Don’t miss out on this exciting event!  See the Teen Corner of the Librafax to find out how you can win a chance to eat dinner with Adam Gidwitz.

FAMILY GINGERBREAD HOUSES - EIJ572

Guy Gagliano of the Swan Bakery will be here to lead your family in decorating a gingerbread house using icings and candy to reflect your family’s celebration.  This program may not be suitable for children with food allergies. Registration will be in-person only and there is a non-refundable $5.00 fee per family to be paid at the time of registration.

Mrs. Oakes returns to assist students in creating a fresh floral centerpiece for their holiday tables or to present as a gift. Registration will be in-person only and there is a non-refundable $2.50 fee per child to be paid at the time of registration.

NOON YEAR’S EVE BASH – EIJ562

Join us as we celebrate Noon Year at this fun bash. We'll talk about resolutions and create a time capsule to open in 2017. Snacks and fun are a given and festive wear is encouraged. We'll 3...2...1 countdown to the stroke of Noon to welcome 2017.
