MORE THAN MOTHER GOOSE – EIJ403 More than Mother Goose for children includes nursery rhymes, songs, finger plays, and stories. Parents participate with their child. Older siblings welcome. This program will be offered at two times. Please select the date that is most convenient. MINECRAFT MANIA - EIJ560 Do you think you have what it takes to be the next master architect? Join our Minecraft building tournament to show off your skills. PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES - EIJ517 Join A Time for Kids for a fun and education-based program! Learn through creative movement, singing, dancing and more. Includes storytelling and a special circus train craft. FANDOM FRIENDS - EIJ502 Geek out over all things pop-culture in this friendly, inclusive environment. We will enjoy lively conversation as we discuss our favorite fandoms, create fun crafts and play games. A small snack will be served. PIRATE STORY/CRAFT - EIJ540 Ahoy thar mateys! Sail into the library and join us to make a pirate craft. SPACE OUT STORY WALK – EIJ460 We’re going to travel to infinity and beyond in this outer space themed program. So join us for a special story time outside in our Discovery Backyard. Afterwards all are welcome to stretch your legs and get your wiggles out while exploring our outside nature classroom. Just a reminder this program will start in the Children's Program Room and end in the Discovery Backyard, weather permitting! TWEEN PAINT NIGHT - EIY735 Go from blank canvas to masterpiece in one night. You will learn how to make a cute colorful unicorn sure to brighten up any room. BABIES BOOGIE - EIJ417 Clap your hands, move your feet! This creative movement and music program presented by Nicole Sparling uses multicultural music, instruments and props to improve motor skills and help children use their imaginations. TODDLERS TANGO - EIJ418 Clap your hands, move your feet! This creative movement and music program presented by Nicole Sparling uses multicultural music, instruments and props to improve motor skills and help children use their imaginations. PLANT THE BACKYARD ON DISCOVERY SATURDAY – EIJ511 Join us for this special Discovery Saturday where we plant our garden in the Discovery Backyard. Planting starts at 10:30 a.m. and is on a first come, first serve basis. Families can also stop by any time between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. to create an art project while exploring nature together. This program is weather permitting! FATHER’S DAY GIFT WORKSHOP - EIJ434 Join us to make a fun craft to celebrate dads and grandpas everywhere.
FINGER PAINT FUN - EIJ512 Have fun being creative with your hands and paint. Make sure to dress for a mess! READ TO THE DOGS – EIJ578 Students practice their reading skills and gain confidence by reading aloud to a trained Therapy Dog. Dogs and their handlers are registered with Therapy Dogs International. Student readers can sign up for a 20-minute session when they come to the Children’s Desk to register. WII TOURNAMENT - EIY748 Enter the action-packed arena of Super Smash Bros Brawl or Mario Kart to pit famous Nintendo characters like Mario and Link against each other. Play with friends as you vie for the throne. PLAYDATE IN THE DISCOVERY BACKYARD - EIJ513 Need something to do with your little one? Enjoy free play in an unstructured environment. Meet up with old friends and make new ones! Weather permitting, this program will take place in the outdoors in the Discovery Backyard. In case of rain, it will take place indoors in our Children's Meeting Room. MAKERSPACE NIGHT– EIJ586 Go, go, go with gadgets galore! Whether big or small, we have building projects for all. FATHER'S DAY GIFT WORKSHOP - EIJ434 Create a special yummy pretend pizza for someone you love! STORY PLAY TIME! – EIJ464 We’ll use movement, music and play to get excited about books! BABY TIME - EIJ404 This parent and child program includes fun age appropriate activities designed to stimulate and encourage your child's physical and mental growth. TODDLER TIME - EIJ405 This parent and child program includes fun age appropriate activities designed to stimulate and encourage your child's physical and mental growth. CIRCLE TIME – EIJ407 Shake those sillies out! Kathy Roeder leads 2 & 3 year olds in circle time fun. CHESS LESSONS – EIJ414 If you’ve wanted to learn how to play chess, here’s your chance. Teen volunteers will guide students as they play with each other to learn the basics of the game.
