STAY AND PLAY - EIJ442

Join in the playdate fun and connect with other children! This is creative and unstructured play.

SENSORY STORY TIME - EIJ490

Enjoy a story and activity with Miss Melissa.  This program is geared toward children with and without disabilities: sensory and fidget tools will be accessible throughout the program.

S.P.E.W. CRAFT - EIJ493

Calling all Harry Potter fans: Follow our hero Hermione’s example and make a craft to free Dobby and the rest of the house elves! While we craft, enjoy some J.K. Rowling literary trivia! Please bring an old sock with you.

MORE THAN MOTHER GOOSE - EIJ403

More than Mother Goose for children includes nursery rhymes, songs, finger plays, and stories. Parents participate with their child. Older siblings welcome. This program will be offered at two times. Please select the date that is most convenient.

PRESCHOOL FAIR NIGHT - EIJ443

Parents of preschoolers are invited to attend the open house hosted by the Children’s Department in the upstairs meeting room. Representatives from local preschools and day care facilities will be here to answer questions and provide information regarding their programs. This is the perfect opportunity to find the best program for your child. In the event of inclement weather, the fair will be postponed until Thursday, January 9.

WINTER TREE CRAFT - EIJ470

PARENT/CHILD WORKSHOP - EIJ400 family place logo

Playing is how your child learns. Through different stages of play, children grow and develop skills in many areas. PARENT/CHILD WORKSHOP gives parents the opportunity to spend quality time with their child playing, exploring, and sharing songs and stories. The program begins on Friday, January 10 and runs for a total of six weeks.

INSTRUMENT EXPLORATION - EIJ620

Learn about instruments such as the clarinet, flute, guitar, ukulele, violin, French horn and more with musician Adam King.

READ TO THE DOGS - EIJ578

Students practice their reading skills and gain confidence by reading aloud to a trained Therapy Dog. Dogs and their handlers are registered with Pet Partners or Therapy Dogs International. Registration will be in-person only for a 20 minute session.

SNOWY ARTSY TOTS - EIJ421

Warm up at the library with our awesome board games. We’ll also have some oversized games including Giant Dominoes, Connect Four and Jenga. So stop by anytime for some family gaming fun. No registration necessary.

SCHOOL OF ROCK: DRUMMING - EIJ425

Music fans, come learn early drumming techniques and rhythms! We’re providing the drum sticks, practice pads and a variety of other percussion items. No experience required, just bring your enthusiasm and drumming curiosity!
